Mexico Cruise

To celebrate our 4th Anniversary we took a 7 day cruise down to Mexico. Our friend Chris joined us.

Hawaii

We spent almost a week in Hawaii in July. Christopher had his first plane ride and did wonderful.

Christophers First River Trip

This past weekend was Christophers first river trip. He did excellent, even with his life jacket on.

3 Weeks Old

Wow time flies, today Christopher is 3 weeks old. It seems like he was just born yesterday. And I am sure time will keep flying and still feel like he was born yesterday. Christopher and Mom are doing great. We went for his 2 week check up last week and he is doing great. Mom went for her checkup on Monday and is healing very well. We have both been very busy with doctor appts, trying to stay up on sleep and feedings every 3 hours. Last night he went 4 hours in between feeding which was nice for us. Hopefully we get some more of those nights.

We are home!!!

We arrived home Monday from the hospital and it has been a week of adjusting to our new life. We are glad to be home and spend time with Christopher and learn to sleep according to his schedule. It is so awesome to see the changes he has each and every day. We really look forward to creating many memories with Christopher in the days, weeks, and years to come.

Christopher Hayden's Room

Final Touch

Since we have picked out Christophers name we have been wanting to buy something with his name it. Jen found these really neat surfboards that had letters on them but since we picked a name with so many letters it was going to be really expensive to do his entire name. It would have cost more then the stoller we wanted and we decided it was best to buy the stoller instead of the letters. Then last week, Grant found out that a friend makes these pictures with names in it. We had her make us one and it came out great. We just got it today and it puts the final touch on Christophers room. She did an awesome job.

Once we get this up, pictures of his completed room will be up.

Christophers Room

Well, last night we worked our butts off and completed Christophers room. Here is a sneak preview. We are still waiting for the artwork for the walls which we pick up this weekend. Once we get those up, we will post pictures of his entire room.

In Process

We are in the middle of our kitchen remodel. Almost there..we are going to make our goal of completeing before Christopher arrives.

Since mom is tired these days, we have taught Baylie to do dishes.

Final Stretch!!!

Jen is finally in her 3rd trimester...12 weeks to go and we get to meet our son. We are slowly getting ready. We have purchased our bedding, ordered the furniture and Jen has already started his wardrobe. We can't wait to start getting his room ready.

The last ultrasound which was about a week ago he weighed 2.3 lbs. We have another doctors appt next week and an ultrasound the following week.

We have also been trying to get things done around the house before he comes. We have cleaned the garage out and will start remodeling our kitchen (new cabinets, counters and lighting) in the next few weeks. Hopefully everything goes smooth and its complete before April.

2009 Is Here!!

It's crazy to think its already 7 days into the New Year, 2009. We spent New Years Eve bringing in 2009 at our close friend's family's house, The Yeos. We participated in a Murder Mystery Dinner- The Wallstreet Scandal. We had such a good time playing the part of Wirth Les Bonds and Cassandra Antell.

For the weekend, we spent some time at Ocotillo Wells with the Cosebooms. Nick and I had a great time chasing each other in our buggies, unfortunately, the girls had to "nest" at camp as they are both carrying child. The weather was great other than a lot of wind each evening.

Jen is doing good with the pregnancy, we are currently at 25 weeks. We have another Doctors appointment this week and ultrasound in a week and a half. It has been an amazing journey so far, we are looking forward to meeting our little one in April. That's it for now- Talk with you soon.
